Nor for the arrow that flies by day...These are words from Psalm 91. Why are we making this Psalm available to download?
The mother of a recently incarcerated young man once asked us to send it to her son. Turmoil was brewing on his jail living unit. He was afraid. He had heard other detainees discussing the calming effect of this Psalm on them and he felt it would help him too. We feel it would benefit others in similar situations. A family member or friend would be able to mail it to them in a letter.
Who knows how this Psalm could affect someone in a terrifying situation?
As the poet Tennyson said – “More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of. Wherefore let thy voice rise like a fountain for me night and day”.
