Francine and Joseph

We are happy to share some good news! We have recently received our first-ever donation to The FREADOM® Road Foundation from Europe! Our generous donors are Francine and Joseph, pictured here at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport while preparing to board their flight back to “Beautiful Belgique.” Their donation was a spontaneous, unsolicited parting gesture in support of our mission “to break the cycle of intergenerational incarceration.”

We are touched and grateful for their farsightedness and generosity.

Francine and Joseph were in the United States as part of a tour gifted to them by their children to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. They made sure to stop in Chicago to visit with Joseph’s childhood friend, Freadom®️Road founder, Maria Hayley, who lived in Belgium as a young child before immigrating to the United States with her parents. FREADOM’s roots are deep, and our wingspan is growing.
