ANCIENT WISDOM, MODERN TIMES

April 17, 2021

Lao-tzu lived in China more than 25 centuries ago.

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer lived in Hawaii in the present century.

Lao-tzu wrote a book called the Tao Te Ching or, the Great Way. Consisting of 81 verses, it is regarded by many as “the ultimate commentary on the nature of our existence.”

It offers spiritual, moral, and practical advice for a balanced, peaceful life in harmony with other faiths. Never “out of print” in the 2,500 years since its creation, it has been consulted for life guidance throughout the centuries and translated into countless languages.

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer wrote a book called Change Your Thoughts – Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao.

Dr. Dyer spent a whole year immersed in the study of Lao-tzu’s Tao Te Ching. “I read, meditated, lived, and then wrote an essay on each of the 81 verses.” The result is a book considered by many to be the most modern, user-friendly, down-to-earth rendition of the Tao Te Ching – a classic born of a classic.

This result should come as no surprise. Dr. Dyer dedicated his life to learning, finding, and teaching the way to the Higher Self. As the author of over 40 books – more than half of which became New York Times bestsellers – and as the creator of numerous audio programs and videos, he was in demand as a speaker, and as a guest on thousands of television and radio shows.

To read a book about the “Great Way” – born of the collaboration between Lao-tzu and Dr. Wayne W. Dyer across millennia – is an opportunity not to be missed!
