A VIOLIN, VIRTUOSITY, ELEGANCE - and DOWN HOME APPEAL

Virtuosity, elegance, and down-home appeal – virtuoso violinist Robert C. Fisher has it all. And he’s bringing it with him to entertain our guests with a thirty-minute program at The FREADOM® FUNDRAISER for KIDS. The event benefits the children’s programs of The Freadom® Road Foundation and will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Chief O’Neill’s Restaurant and Pub, 3471 North Elston Avenue, Chicago, IL 60618, from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM.

Mr. Fisher’s virtuosity is evident not only in his flawless performance of classical masterpieces of Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart but in his performances with renowned musical groups such as the Chicago Sinfonietta, the Chicago Folklore Ensemble, and other orchestras. With these and other groups, he has performed at many world premieres.

Mr. Fisher’s down-home appeal is evident in his easy, gracious manner as well as his versatility and ready willingness to play gospel tunes, folk music, and songs from broadway musicals.

Additionally, Mr. Fisher performs as well as teaches. He teaches children of all ages and backgrounds in Chicago, requiring only that they want to learn and are willing to practice. He advises them to follow their passion, and – if they’re really accomplished – to “go out and break some barriers.” Mr. Fisher knows what he’s talking about. He has broken barriers. He says he enjoys telling people “I’m a black man who makes a living playing the violin.”

We invite you to experience the virtuosity, elegance and down-home appeal of violinist Robert C. Fisher at our FREADOM® FUNDRAISER for KIDS on Tuesday, November 12, 2019.
